Lake Vermilion Minnesota Musky Hunts

Shumway’s Fishng Guide Service will now be offering guided musky trips to Minnesota’s Lake Vermilion. Lake Vermilion has become one of North America’s premier musky lakes and is located just one and a half hours north of Duluth Minnesota.

Lake Vermilion is big (40,000 acres), scenic Canadian Shield water that holds great big fish. We feel it will be a great addition to the list of trophy lakes that we already fish in the Hayward/Cable area. These Lake Vermilion musky hunts will offer guests an excellent shot at seeing and catching trophy muskies in the 45”-55” range. An added plus is that these fish can be very active and aggressive during the warm water casting season of June through early October.

Arrangements: We can handle groups up to four fisherman and can help find comfortable lodging arrangements on the lake or at our outpost camp located in Tower, Minnesota. The best times are weekdays from June through September. For the best chance at success, we recommend a two to three day trip.
